Pressure Altitude

The Pressure Altitude requires the use of the standard atmospheric model. The standard atmospheric model used in the calculations is the 1959 ARDC standard atmosphere model.

In order to compute the pressure altitude, the value of the Pressure is compared with the values of the Pressure in the table. When the two values become equal the corresponding altitude is known as the Pressure Altitude. The pressure Altitude has units of meters (m).
