Inlet Area of a Ramjet Engine

In order to compute the inlet area of a Ramjet Engine we assume that the ramjet engine is being operated at standard sea-level conditions.

In order to perform the calculation we require,

The Maximum Thrust of a Ramjet Engine in lb.

The Exit Area of a Ramjet Engine Ae in ft^2.

The velocity at which the Ramjet Engine is operating.

The exit velocity Ve and the Exit pressure Pe of a Ramjet engine.

Performing the calculation,

and using the Thrust equation for a Ramjet engine and the equation of continuity we compute the inlet area of a Ramjet engine.
