How to Calculate Current |
|||||
|
A number of formulas are available to Calculate the Current (I).
I = Q/t Current = Charge in Coulombs divided by time Q = Charge units of which are coulombs t = time units of which are seconds. The Unit of Current (I) are Amperes
Another Method to Calculate the Current is, I = V/R Current is equal to Voltage divided by Resistance.
V = Voltage units of which are Volts R = Resistance units of which are ohms
Still another method to calculate Current is by using the formula, I = P/V where, P is the Power in Watts and V is the Voltage in volts so, Current is equal to Power divided by Voltage.
Ampere is a large unit of current so small units of amperes like mAmp, nAmp, uAmp are also used in the calculations. |
